The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 tournament will now be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 19 September 2020 to 10 November 2020. The game has been rescheduled due to the Coronavirus. In this 13th edition of IPL, 60 matches will be played between 8 teams, with the first match being played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on 19 September.
The T20 Cricket World Cup has been canceled due to the growing infection of the corona epidemic in the world. For this reason, the BCCI has now decided to program the IPL 2020 again. But the corona infection is still growing rapidly in India, so it has been decided to organize it outside India in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Brijesh Patel said on July 24 that the next meeting of the IPL Governing Council is likely to be held next week to discuss the IPL 2020 schedule.
The entire schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will be 53 days and a total of 60 matches will be played in this 13th edition. IPL matches will be played every day and matches will start at 4 pm and 8 pm as per Indian Standard Time (IST).
All IPL matches will be conducted at three grounds in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), namely;
1. Sheikh Zayed Stadium
3. Sharjah Cricket Stadium
3. Dubai International Stadium
The BCCI has informed the franchisees of all the teams about this new schedule so that they can reach UAE on time and start their preparations. All IPL franchises are expected to arrive in the UAE by 20 August to prepare themselves for the tournament.
