On the night of 15/16 June, there was a clash between the soldiers of both countries. 17 Indian soldiers were seriously injured while on duty in the clash and deadlock area. These 17 soldiers seriously injured died in this area of temperature and extreme altitude below zero degrees. A total of 20 Indian soldiers have died here. The Indian Army is committed to protecting the integrity and sovereignty of the country.

Earlier, the Indian Army had said in its statement the death of a military officer and two soldiers. It was also said in the statement that senior military officials of both countries are talking to reduce tension.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi alleged that Indian soldiers crossed the border twice and illegally entered into the jurisdiction of China and attacked Chinese troops when stopped. Nonetheless, the Galwan River in eastern Ladakh is one of the sectors that have been in the news recently due to the deadlock between the forces of India and China. According to recent media reports, although the two forces are in their respective areas on line-of-actuarial control (LAC), the situation has not returned to normal. Most importantly, tensions have arisen in the region for the first time since 1962, and also when the LAC has been clearly defined and accepted by both rival sides.
