The concern is being expressed in Nepal about the tension
created in the Galwan Valley between
China and India. Retired diplomats of Nepal and experts in international
affairs have appealed to the two countries for peace. He has expressed grief
over the news of violent clashes between Chinese and Indian soldiers. He hoped
that the military deadlock would not proceed as it would have far-reaching
consequences for the entire region.
The Foreign Ministry of Nepal did not respond to this until
7:15 pm on Tuesday evening. But, speaking to BBC Hindi, former diplomats,
strategic analysts and senior journalists have appealed to maintain peace along
the Indo-China border in the Ladakh region. He urged India and China to
exercise restraint and find a peaceful solution at the earliest.
Expect diplomatic negotiations

Former Nepal Foreign Minister and longtime ambassador to
India, Bhekh Bahadur Thapa has welcomed the recent diplomatic dialogue between
India and China. He hoped that both sides would soon find a peaceful solution
to the long-standing border disputes. He said, "Violent clashes now
indicate peace to be established. The Indo-China
border dispute in Ladakh and other regions is a legacy of the previous war.
This will be resolved by holding more meetings and finding diplomatic and
political solutions. "
For the first time after 45 years, someone has died on the
disputed border of India and China. Last night (15/16 June) in the Galvan Valley of East Ladakh,
19 soldiers, including an Indian Army officer, were killed in a face-to-face clash between the army of China and India.
The Indian Army
issued an official statement late Tuesday and said, "The army of India and
China has retreated from Galwan region. On the night of 15/16 June, there was
a clash between the soldiers of both countries. 17 Indian soldiers were
seriously injured while on duty in the clash and deadlock area. These 17
soldiers seriously injured died in this area of temperature and extreme
altitude below zero degrees. A total of 20 Indian soldiers have died here. The Indian Army is committed to protecting the integrity and sovereignty of the
country.
Earlier, the Indian Army had said in its statement the death
of a military officer and two soldiers. It was also said in the statement that
senior military officials of both countries are talking to reduce tension.
